Official Synopsis, [1]

To Serve and Protect is the 38th episode of Season 3.

Plot[]

Oggy is relaxing in his front yard when Jack suddenly arrives, telling his friend that he is going to train at the police academy. Jack pulls Oggy in the car and they both go to the police academy, where Bob brings them inside. Oggy declines the invitation as Jack is the only one eager for the academy. Unfortunately, Bob wouldn't take 'no' for an answer as he pulls Oggy back inside, locks the gate, and swallows the key. Jack assures Oggy that the training will be great, until they notice the three cockroaches on Bob's head, about to make their training difficult.

During the first test, which is body composition, Oggy and Jack and stripped of their fur. Bob readies a giant thermometer when Oggy suddenly passes out due to his fear of the giant temperature-measuring instrument. Bob attempts to wake him up with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, inadvertently inflating the blue cat's muscles, which made him look all burly. This impresses Bob enough to give Oggy an cross. Outside, Oggy catches the cockroaches laughing at him and steps on them, which causes the air to leak out of his foot, deflating the cat while cockroaches resumed laughing at him. Later, Jack is in a CT scanner with his head shaved by Bob. As the green cat is slid further into the machine, the cockroaches show up and shove a walnut into Jack's head to trick Bob into thinking that Jack has a tumor in the brain. This results in Jack getting a circle.

The second test, which is shooting, begins as Bob gives Oggy a revolver that is too big and heavy for him to carry. As Oggy struggles to lift the heavy firearm, the cockroaches create an oil slick to make Oggy slip. As soon Oggy falls backwards, he inadvertently shoots to the sky and the bullet hit a jet's cockpit window, scaring the pilot into landing the jet near the police academy and shooting a missile, which blasts the target. Bob compliments Oggy's work and passes him. Once Jack's turn is up, Bob gives him a tiny gun. And when Jack tries to shoot at a target, the gun could only squirt water at a very short distance, much to Oggy and Bob's amusement. So, the cockroach crew give Jack a bazooka. Jack tries to fire the rocket but it backfires as it only results in Jack being launched back while the rocket stays in mid-air for a few seconds. It then falls on Bob's head, and he presses a button which blows him and Oggy up. After it was exploded, Bob gives Jack the second fail.

In the third test, which is handcuffing, Oggy and Jack will handcuff 2 separate people. Oggy is up first and as he goes inside the containment, he meets an old woman, who is a piece of cake for his handcuffing task. Bob passes him amidst the cockroaches' objections. Once Jack is up next to handcuff, he is intimidated by a giant, burly thug, who beats him to a pulp and handcuffs the poor green cat's nose and left eye. Bob fails him again.

Then, they advance to test 4, which is gymnastics. The cockroaches set up all the exercise equipment (rings, a trampoline, a pommel horse, a vault springboard, a horizontal bar, a balance beam, and a landing mat) to make Oggy do an excellent gymnastics routine, impressing Bob again to pass him. After this, Bob observes Jack swinging in the parallel bars. Joey and Dee Dee move the bars back, which leads to Jack hitting Bob's face with his legs.

Moving on to the test 5, which is self-defense. Oggy faces a karate master but could only dodge and back away. The cockroaches set up some marbles to make Oggy slip, but they end up causing the karate master to slip and hurt himself. Assuming Oggy finally landed a hit, Bob passes him. A few moments later, Jack laughs at the karate master and his injuries from the previous training session, enraging the latter into beating him into another pulp while Bob fails him.

During the sixth and final test, which is canine partners, Oggy and Jack are assigned to choose a dog to train for K9 unit. Jack chooses the small beige-colored dog and throws a stick for it to retrieve. When the dog does nothing, Jack pushes it a bit further though it didn't get the stick. However, this enrages the dog into biting a big section of his torso. Oggy chooses the big chocolate brown dog to fetch a stick but the cockroaches toss a log into a lake outside the academy, prompting the big dog to retrieve it while inadvertently dragging the poor blue cat along. Nevertheless, Oggy passes this test.

After the tests were done, an awarding ceremony commences as Bob gives a gold star badge to Oggy. He humbly tells Bob that Jack deserves the badge. Bob looks back at the results and declines since Jack failed all six tests. Jack weeps, pleading Bob for some police job. A few days later, Bob gets pulled over by Officer Oggy at a four-way intersection. Officer Oggy apologizes and decides to let him go. Bob congratulates Oggy on a job well done as well as having Jack as his canine partner.
