Official Synopsis, [1]

Oggy and the Hieroglyphs is the 46th episode of Season 5 and the 318th episode overall. It takes place during the Napoleonic Era in Egypt.

Plot[]

It's the very last day in the Napoleonic Era. And Napoleon made camping in Egypt. And Jack and Napoleon evil laughed at Nelson's defeat, with Oggy joining in abruptly. Heading out, he encounters a tent of Champollion, an archeologist for France, who is chocking out Egyptian Relics. A small chase is ensued with stealing of King Tut's mask, but it stops short.

After that incident, Oggy is appointed archaeologist, with a brush to help him find any ancient Egyptian highlights, especially in the sand. The cockroaches split up: Dee Dee meeting a scorpion; Marky glancing at the size of the pyramid and making a replica; and Joey, just speculating when Oggy discovers a scarab medallion. Another chase is ensued after Joey steals the medallion, stopping at the replica of Abu Simbel, when he gets hit on the head with the Rosetta Stone.

He returned injured about the situation, but Champollion's focus resets to the Rosetta Stone, thinking hee can decipher the ancient Egyptian texts. The cockroaches get regrouped, and Joey plans to steal the Rosetta Stone for himself. Back in camp, the Rosetta Stone is delivered to Napoleon, thanks to Oggy, who's been given a French Legion Merit medal, leaving Jack disgusted.

Going back to Champollion's tent, the cockroaches steal the real Rosetta Stone, while he makes the copy of the Rosetta Stone on paper when not looking. A chase is ensued, subduing the scorpion Dee Dee befriended, and climbing up the pyramid next to Camp, only for Joey to grab the medal from him, sliding down on the Stone, bouncing off from the camp, and onto the nose of the Sphinx, returned safely, but smashed.

He makes another one, due to his poor sculpting, and just when he returns to camp, the British invade, and the French army flees, including Oggy. But like history, as the episode closes, the British decide not to confiscate any relics, only deciding to keep Oggy's Rosetta Stone by Bob Nelson into the British Museum, where it is safe on display.
