Official Synopsis, [1]

Oggy's Double is the 37th episode of Season 3.

Plot[]

Oggy was contentedly watering on his lawn when suddenly, a cat who looks identical to him, save for a white-tipped tail, walks past by and waves to Oggy, who waves back at him. The second Oggy then suddenly stops, bewildered at the fact that Oggy looks like him.

Oggy is surprised as well, so he walks over to The second Oggy and turns the hose off, then he and The second Oggy proceed to mirror each other by staring at each other, touching their index fingers together, raising them, meowing, and showing each other's tails. Since The second Oggy's tail is different from Oggy's, they both sigh with relief over being different, and Oggy then invites The second Oggy into his house while Bob watches with surprise and faints from seeing two Oggys.

Meanwhile, Jack drives by in his monster truck, arrives at Oggy's house and goes inside, carrying a small shopping bag. Peeking over at The second Oggy in the living room, he mistakes him for Oggy, snickers cheekily, hides behind the couch and pops out to scare the doppelganger cat, then laughs as he slaps him in the back of his head and brings out cheetah-patterned underwear from his bag, much to the surprise of The second Oggy. Putting the underwear on, Jack then flexes the muscles on his arm, laughs arrogantly and flexes his biceps.

The second Oggy, on the other hand, is feeling uncomfortable with Jack as the real Oggy then comes in with a coffee pitcher, while Jack shakes his tail and flexes his body, only to see what appears to be two Oggys when he opens his eyes. This makes him so surprised that his eyes bug out and then go onto his tongue, all while he stares in shock at the two identical cats. His eyes then return to their sockets as Jack realizes he still has his underwear on and tries to cover them with his hands in embarrassment, fainting in the process. Puzzled at whatever is wrong with Jack, Oggy shrugs to The second Oggy.

Oggy then puts Jack on his bed, who wakes up to see his cousin staring at him, thinks that he's just imagining things and laughs with Oggy, who is then joined by The second Oggy. Once Jack sees The second Oggy again, he freaks out as he jumps out of the bed, clings onto the ceiling and moves to a corner, but Oggy brings him down and informs him that The second Oggy is far from being a perfectly identical copy of himself, which the latter makes clear by holding out his tail with the white tip on it. Relieved, Jack rolls his eyes and laughs as he pinches the noses of the two felines.

Just then, Oggy then gets the idea to trick the cockroaches with The second Oggy and gestures to Jack and The second Oggy to give them a rude awakening, so Jack climbs up to the cockroaches' air vent with a ladder, sticks an air horn through and blares it loudly, startling the insects awake. As the three irked roaches peek out of their vent, they see Jack and The second Oggy seemingly going out fishing, which overjoys them and allows them to take a turkey from the fridge.

However, Oggy sticks his arm out of the turkey, wielding his flyswatter, and smashes the three bugs into French fry strands. He then reveals the turkey to be a costume as he unzips it and confronts the roaches, who retreat to their air vent. Jack and The second Oggy then return as Oggy flashes a thumbs up to them, and Jack rubs his hands in glee, knowing that they are going to have one heck of a fun time screwing with their enemies!

Outside, The second Oggy rakes up the lawn while whistling. Dee Dee and Marky spy on him through a window, still thinking that he's Oggy, and gesture to Joey that he's busy. The purple cockroach then gives a thumbs up, marches into the kitchen to approach the lower cabinet, rubs his hands while looking around to make sure that Oggy isn't around and then opens a door, only to find Oggy squeezed in there. As he looks back, Joey does a double take when he realizes that he has found Oggy and panics as he gets smacked by the feline's flyswatter, before returning with an injured head to his brothers and slapping them for tricking him. Dee Dee takes offense to that and reminds Joey that Oggy is still outside, doing some cutting work on a tree.

Later, The second Oggy mows the lawn as he whistles, while the cockroaches spy on him, once again assuming that he is Oggy. Joey hands Dee Dee a walkie-talkie and brandishes another one of his own, and instructs the two to keep an eye on Oggy as he walks back into the kitchen. He then asks his brothers where Oggy is, and they reply by informing him that he is in the garage with Jack, changing the tires on a bicycle.

Believing that the coast is clear, Joey then opens the fridge, but ends up finding Oggy again. Before reacting though, he inspects the cat by squeezing his chin, pinching his nose like a squeaky toy and pulling on his ears, and puts his hand on his chin to wonder if Oggy is still outside. Oggy then lets out a meow that startles Joey into running off, who then proceeds to accuse Dee Dee and Marky of lying to him, but Dee Dee, frustrated at his brother's arrogance, points out that Oggy is still fixing his bicycle.

Joey then runs into the bathroom to hide, panting with exhaustion from running, but much to his horror, he finds Oggy sitting on the toilet, who waves smugly at him as the cockroach freaks out, dashes out of the bathroom and seeks refuge in the attic, weighing the hatch down with a box. He then takes out his walkie-talkie and rebukes his brothers for lying to him again, but Dee Dee irately reminds him that Oggy is still outside, waving at a perplexed Bob.

Just as Joey is about to lose his temper and yell at the other cockroaches, he suddenly spots a whistling Oggy resting on the box. Horrified, the cockroach lets out a woman-like shriek, bursts out through the roof and escapes into the city. He then enters a fashion store and explores it, fearing that he might encounter Oggy, which unfortunately comes true when he comes upon the cat, disguised as a woman with lipstick on. He vamooses from the store and hops in a taxi which drives away, but when he is about to tell the driver where to take him, he reacts in horror when he finds out that the driver is none other than you-know-who and screams at the top of his lungs.

Joey then escapes into the ocean and strolls around, checking if Oggy has managed to follow him there. Predictably, the cat has done just that in a submarine and uses a crane on the submarine to twist the valve on Joey's scuba tank, resulting in the cockroach swelling up like a balloon and rising from the water to the sky. As he struggles to get back down, he encounters Oggy as an angel lying on a cloud, but before he can flee, Oggy brandishes a push pin and pokes Joey with it, causing the cockroach to fly around like an out-of-control balloon.

Escaping to outer space, Joey takes a few leaps on the moon, waves at the planet Earth, brings out a penny and finds a vending machine filled with soft drinks. But when he inserts the penny to get a can, Oggy drops into the pickup box, shaped like a can of soda, and grins at the insect. This causes Joey to finally snap and vomit all over his helmet.

Back in the cockroaches' air vent, Dee Dee and Marky observe Joey, who has now completely lost his sanity as he laughs maniacally and flails around. Just then, the cockroaches then hear laughing and peek from their vent to find the three cats cackling at their victory. Oggy then exchanges low-fives with The second Oggy and bids the latter farewell as he leaves, while Joey, finally realizing that he has been tricked, furiously pushes in a dozen of explosives which blow up and cause the roof of the house to jump.

Suddenly, a bus arrives outside as a charred Joey exits the house, and freaks out when he sees what appears to be several Oggys boarding the bus and passes out. As Oggy and Jack, also charred, walk over to Joey, they then pay attention to the passengers on the bus, who reveal themselves to be people wearing Oggy masks, and the bus is revealed to be one for the Oggy Fanclub, with the passengers laughing as the two felines laugh back.

Notes[]

  • There's a deleted scene in this episode. When Joey is puking, since it was deleted in most countries, including the Hindi dub, due to how disgusting the scene was, instead, the result was for an alternative scene where he cries.
  • There's also a deleted scene where Joey brings explosives, due to its violent nature.
  • The Oggy Fanclub bus has 666 on the front of it. 666 is the Devil's number, and how they got away with using said number is unknown. Although some countries either banned the scene or edited out 666.
  • There's also another difference between Oggy and The second Oggy. When Jack squeezes both of their noses, Oggy's nose squeaks in a sharp and high-pitched sound, akin to a squeaky pet toy. The second Oggy's nose, on the other hand, squeaks in a low-pitched sound resembling a clown horn.
